Costes Izakaya

The name Costes Izakaya was inspired by a meeting of cultures. The owners believe that the brand of Costes has become something of a synonym for quality in domestic gastronomy over the last decade, thanks to its Michelin-starred restaurants. Furthermore, presenting Far Eastern flavours more prolifically in their restaurant portfolio seemed a natural progression, given that their corporate executive chef (operating fine dining restaurants), Márk Molnár, returned to Hungary with decades of experience in Asian cuisine. Thus, the name Izakaya was born, derived from the character of a restaurant and inspired by the concept of hospitality prevalent in Asian, especially Japanese, culture.
