Portuguese chef-owner Tiago and his Hungarian wife Éva have created a bright, warm, and deliciously different restaurant in Essência. You can choose from a Portuguese or Hungarian menu or, best of all, a tasting menu that combines the two in a series of balanced, elegant dishes.
Tiago Sabarigo, chef and owner, was born in Évora, Portugal, where he studied and started working in the hospitality industry. Tiago has worked in prestigious and high-quality establishments, including the Ritz Four Seasons in Lisbon, Petrus by Gordon Ramsay, Texture Restaurant & Champagne Bar, and Costes Downtown.
Éva Sabarigo’s professional training began in international luxury hotels, and after ten years in front-of-house positions, she left the hotel world to pursue a dream with her husband Tiago. That dream is Essência Restaurant.
